Social networks provide templates that help you can build a profile and display information about yourself, but what if you were in charge of the template? Imagine taking a blank browser screen and turning it into your own creation. This workshop will examine the languages that web browsers read and interpret to display the websites you surf to on a daily basis, and provide a basis for creating your own website. There are many standards and best practices that encourage the development of good, strong code, which will be applied according to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) schools. The goal of this workshop is to show the creative side of technology and how to build an individual presence on the Internet.
